D608 is a kind of CrMo cast iron surfacing electrode with graphite type coating. AC/DC. DCRP (Direct CurrentReversed Polarity) is more suitable. Because the surfacing metal is Cr and Mo carbide with cast iron structure, the surfacing layer has higher hardness, higher wear-resistance and excellent silt and ore wear-resistance.

Introduction

D608 is a kind of CrMo cast iron surfacing electrode with graphite type coating. Applicable for both AC and DC (DCRP - Direct Current Reversed Polarity is more suitable). Since the surfacing metal consists of Cr and Mo carbides with a cast iron structure, the surfacing layer provides higher hardness, superior wear-resistance, and excellent resistance against silt and ore abrasion.

Applications

Specifically designed for welding parts of agricultural machinery and mining equipment that are subject to grit wear and slight impact.

Operating Instructions

Baking: Electrodes must be baked at approximately 250℃ for one hour prior to welding.
Preheating: The weldment should be preheated to 400-500℃ during the surfacing process.
Layering: If thickness allows, a base layer of J507 can be applied first. Surfacing should then proceed while sufficient heat is maintained.
Cooling: The welded part must be cooled down slowly after the process is complete.

Packing & Delivery

Standard packing in 20kgs/net cartons, consisting of:

8 boxes x 2.5kgs for 2.5mm diameter.
4 boxes x 5kgs for other sizes.
Available with or without fumigation-free pallets upon request.
