OEM E7024 Mild Carbon Steel Welding Electrode Manufacturer, Supplier

E7024 adopts rutile iron powder type coating, the deposition efficiency can reach 150%, which is a high-efficiency electrode. The arc is stable, spatter is small, slag removal is easy, and the weld seam is beautifully formed. It can be used for both AC and DC. When DC welding, it is recommended to use DC reverse connection (the welding rod is connected to the positive electrode). Mainly suitable for flat welding, flat fillet welding, and also suitable for ship-shaped welding.

Product Description

APPLICATIONS

Mainly used for welding carbon steel and low alloy structural steel, widely used in the manufacturing and maintenance of ships, rolling stock, boilers, pressure vessels and general steel structures.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main advantage of using E7024 welding electrodes?
The primary advantage is its high efficiency. With a rutile iron powder coating, the deposition efficiency can reach up to 150%, significantly speeding up the welding process.
Which materials are best suited for E7024?
E7024 is specifically designed for welding carbon steel and low alloy structural steels commonly used in ships, boilers, and pressure vessels.
Can E7024 be used with an AC welder?
Yes, E7024 is versatile and can be used with both AC and DC welding machines. When using DC, reverse connection is recommended for optimal results.
What are the recommended welding positions for this electrode?
This electrode is most suitable for flat welding (PA) and flat fillet welding (PB). It is also ideal for ship-shaped welding.
How should E7024 electrodes be stored or dried?
Generally, pre-drying is not required. However, if the electrodes become damp, they should be redried at 150-170℃ for approximately one hour before use.
Does E7024 provide good weld aesthetics?
Yes, it features a stable arc, minimal spatter, and easy slag removal, which results in a beautifully formed and clean weld seam.
