Product Description

Submerged Arc Welding Flux SJ101 and Welding Wire for Steel Structures Fabrication

Applications:
It can be used in single-pass and multi-pass submerged arc welding for carbon steel and low-alloy structural steels with appropriate wires (such as EH14, EM12, EM12K etc.).
Characteristic:
SJ101 is a fluorine basic type flux, the grain size is 2.0mm-0.3mm (10-60 mesh) or 2.0mm-0.45mm (10-40 mesh), with a basicity of approximately 1.8. It is compatible with both AC and DC+ power sources. The arc combustion is stable, slag removal is effortless, and the welding seam is beautifully formed. Additionally, the weld metal exhibits high impact toughness at low temperatures.

Operation Attention

  • Before using, the flux shall be re-dried for 2 hours at 300℃-350℃.
  • Removing rust, oil, water, and other impurities in the weld zone is necessary before welding.
  • The mechanical properties of all weld metal are determined by heat input; typically, small heat input performs better than larger input.
